Personal Librarian Program

The Personal Librarian Program is designed to provide all new Eckerd College residential students with a personal point of contact and to introduce you to the services and collections available from the Eckerd College Library. Your Personal Librarian will contact you occasionally throughout the semester to let you know about new databases and tools, upcoming events of interest, or research strategies.

Your Personal Librarian will...

  • Keep you informed with periodic e-mail messages highlighting new resources and programs specifically for students, as well as notices such as extended/reduced library hours
  • Answer questions about Library policies, procedures and services
  • Assist with finding information for research assignments, by helping you identify the best sources, and formulate search strategies

Your Personal Librarian will not...

  • Set up your computer
  • Do your research, make photocopies or write your papers
