The Office of Financial Aid at Eckerd College is available to assist you in completing all the applications necessary to receive assistance. Federal, state and institutional funds are available to students.

Federal Student Aid

Applying for financial aid is FREE. Make sure you go to ( is a business that charges a fee for filing the application) for information on federally funded financial assistance. The FAFSA must still be completed even if a student is only applying for scholarships and/or in-house loans.

Workforce Investment Act

Students who are unemployed, displaced homemakers, or low wage workers may be eligible for funding through the Workforce Investment Act. For more information contact PEL at (727) 864-8226 or (800) 234-4735.

Veteran's Benefits

Institutionally Administered Scholarships/Grants

PEL Common Scholarship

PEL awards a number of different scholarships each year. If you would like to be considered for an award please download the PEL Common Scholarship Application.

Institutional Loans

Mary E. Miller Loan

An emergency loan for PEL students who have received at least one financial aid disbursement and who are awaiting disbursement of a processed financial aid award. For more information, please call the Financial Aid Office at 727-864-8334.

Statement of Financial Responsibility (PDF)
One-time required submission of this form. It is also required if you would like to give another individual access to your student account.

PEL Bookstore Authorization Form (PDF)
Submission of this form is required each semester to authorize the Eckerd College Bookstore to charge books to financial aid student's and other eligible student's accounts.
